Lose Weight by Eating Less – Weight Loss Mistake
Ives Ilasin asked:
Have you resorted to lose weight by eating less?
It is common to assume that since you gained weight by eating more than what your body needs would mean that you can alter its results by doing the opposite. I have been on the same path only to realize that it’s not how our bodies work.
The human body has evolved in the past to be able to survive starvation. Our bodies switch to a low energy mode whenever it is not fed enough to be able to adapt. So restricting yourself from eating wouldn’t make that much of a difference in your weight as you also suffer while at it.
Instead of trying to lose weight by eating less, what we should be doing is eating intelligently . Old habits die hard as they say and the way we eat will only burden us further unless we fully commit to changing our diets.
Use your common sense when it comes to eating and your food choices. It certainly wouldn’t let you go hungry when you’re surrounded with food in the same way that it would make you feel stuffed immediately after giving in to your cravings.
A healthy diet towards weight loss includes enough of every food group. Never eliminate carbohydrates or fats completely out of your diet. They are as essential as proteins and fiber in making your diet healthy. It is how much of each kind of food you consume that matters.
How you prepare and cook your food is also important like the food itself. If it is possible to eat the food in its natural form then by all means do so. Raw is no doubt better than processed foods. Canned and instant foods won’t do much for your body either.
If you think that to lose weight by eating less is a quick fix solution, it is actually a dead end. Mind the quality and quantity of your food if you want to reach your ideal weight and live a healthy and longer life.
