Wouldn’t it be great to get paid to lose weight? Americans shell out billions of dollars each year for the latest fad diet. Statistics say that 63% of Americans are overweight and 31% are obese. It seems like everybody is on a diet today, but then way are we still so fat as a country?
American’s spend about $40 billion each year on weight loss products, yet approximately 90% of them fail to lose weight and keep it off. Clearly the problem isn’t about knowledge as everyone knows that the only way to lose weight is by controlling two things, diet and exercise.
The problem that most people have with weight loss lies in psychology and the fact that they are trying to do it in isolation. If there is no one to keep you accountable then you must have a steel discipline in order to keep your weight off. Unfortunately if you have a weight problem then the chances are that you don’t have a lot of discipline to begin with.
So what is the solution? The Internet of course. There is an on line program that exists to assist people in reaching their fitness goals. It does this by encouraging the members to form a support network to keep track of their personal food and exercise programs.
